Hello and welcome to the channel Today we will be preparing a traditional Moroccan Breakfast or whats known as breakfast bledi it has Moroccan pan bread Rghayef Moroccan pancakes or Baghrir also some sides dishes that are normally served in the Beldi Breakfast such as olive oil olives fresh cheese I hope you enjoy the video and lets begin we will start by making the Rghayef because it takes the longest to prepare to a large bowl add semolina flour all purpose flour salt and a pinch of yeast you can leave out the yeast dissolve the yeast and mix all the ingredients together add warm water till a dough is formed knead the dough till soft and elastic I will leave link below the video to different recipes in details on how to make Raghayefs rghyef or mlwi bread all the links are in the description box below the video form medium size balls oil lightly the bowl before hand oil the dough well allow at least 30 minutes before shaping them into rghyef meanwhile lets prepare the table I covered the table with a green cloth just a regular cloth that I purchased before I covered it with this gorgeous table cloth the green color peeks through I purchased the tablecloths from a second hand market I really love everything vintage and old it is almost impossible to find such beautiful tablecloths new I have no idea purchasing such used items I also wanted to mention that I do have a craft channel I will leave a link to it below the video as well lets get back to shaping the rghayef bread oil the work surface lightly spread out the dough oiling them at the same time to prevent from tearing once the dough is almost transparent butter lightly sprinkle with fine semolina or semolina flour then fold to a square like I said before for the detailed recipe and how to check the links below I will leave a link to how to make rghayef for kids and how to stuff them with different fillings once all the balls are shaped into squares set aside to rest allow to rest for 30 minutes before cooking lets make the baghrir meanwhile add the fine semolina to a bowl the salt and the yeast add enough warm water to dissolve the yeast add one whole egg it is optional you can leave it out add the baking powder about 1 teaspoon mix well pour in the warm water at this point use a whisk to make sure the semolina is moistened place the mixture in a blender check below the video for the exact ingredients and how to blend for 1 to 2 minutes pour into the bowl cover and allow to rest for from 15 to 30 minutes flatten out the rghifa squares till it is double in size preheat a heavy cast iron skillet drizzle on top few drops of oil cook the rghyef turning them often till puffed and golden brown preheat a non stick pan over medium high heat pour a laddleful of the batter into the pan I want to confess that my baghrir doesnt come out the best looking it taste really delicious but not the best looking allow the baghrir to cool do not stack the baghrir on top of each other melt some butter and honey together pour over the baghrir before serving the Breakfast Beldi is ready rghayef baghrir black olives soft beldi cheese smoked turkey use whatever you have in your fridge I added a plate of sable cookies that you can leave out to make this breakfast bledi 100% you can prepare harcha it is also usually served in breakfast bledi but since I just made it in a very recent video I didnt want to make it again I hope you enjoyed watching the video please dont forget to stop by my craft channel enjoy and I shall see you soon.
